Music visualizer export settings: 1080p, 4K and 30 vs 60 fps
Start with the destination, the quality of your source media and the movement in your design. More pixels and frames increase rendering work, but they do not automatically improve a video watched on a phone. Export a short representative sample before the full track.
Choose the frame before the resolution

These are production choices rather than a promise of reach. A landscape file squeezed into portrait will make the design too small. Use a dedicated vertical composition for social clips.
When 60 fps makes a visible difference
Sixty frames per second can make fast moving lines, particles and continuous rotations look smoother. Thirty frames per second is a useful starting point for restrained artwork motion and many release videos. Compare the same passage at both rates on the screen where people will watch.
Rendering twice as many frames normally means more work, although total export time also depends on effects, resolution and encoding. A 30 fps background clip will not gain newly captured motion simply because the final visualizer is exported at 60 fps; the generated spectrum can still update at the chosen output rate.
Preserve the original export through upload
Upload the exported file directly. Sending it through a messaging app, downloading the compressed copy and then uploading again may lose fine detail. Keep an original master and make separate delivery copies when needed.
Small particles, thin lines and dark gradients can be harder to preserve under compression. If a local export looks clear but the published result looks blocky, compare the processed upload once the platform has finished preparing it. Try fewer tiny details or thicker, more legible shapes before assuming a higher resolution will solve the problem.
Check a representative sample
- Include a loud hit, a quiet section and any background motion you intend to use.
- Watch with sound to check alignment and listen for abrupt cuts at the start or end.
- Inspect title size, faces and spectrum visibility on a phone.
- Check the exported dimensions and frame rate, then repeat those settings for the full video.
